Pandemic fervor is dying down and folks are getting back to pre-pandemic life. For me this means traveling and visiting coffee shops in each place I go. So, I figured, why not share these coffee shops broadly with you.
In the same token, I hope to make this blog more interactive. That means I need to hear from you. I have a love for all things coffee, and there a re thousands of coffee shops globally. I’d like to know what’s your favorite shop in your favorite cities. Let’s begin to create a community of places to revisit and to visit anew. I’ll start this series, Sip, Savor, and Review with a look back at my visit to Barista Parlor Golden Sound.
How did I come to find out about Barista Parlor? It all started in December 2022 while standing on Concourse C at BNA – Nashville Int’l Airport. I was on about hour 5 or 6 and still no plane or crew in sight to get me to my destination. So, I stood on a wall, looking at this futuristic, yet nostalgic coffee shop called Barista Parlor. Long story short, I didn’t stop in and get coffee, I didn’t even fly out of BNA that day….flights and plans were all cancelled.
Fast forward to Feb 2023, I found myself in Nashville again and in want of a proper coffee shop experience. I headed to instagram saw that I was connected with Barista Parlor, and eureka! I was no longer stuck at BNA and Barista Parlor had an actual location in the Gulch. So, I went.
Am I glad that I went. I appreciate seeing a variety of brewing methods, coffees from different regions, and importantly, a great atmosphere to enjoy coffee. Barista Parlor has all of these, and more. I wish I would have got the crew names that day, (but alas I didn’t) because they were great.
I ordered a couple of drip coffees – one from Ethiopia (Daredevil) another from Costa Rica (Cabin Fever), a cappuccino, and bagel. All was great. I must shout out this place…they did NOT burn their beans. The coffees’ profiles shone through beautifully. Highly recommend you visit and try the drip coffees. You won’t be let down!
