How to Taste Like a Connoisseur
Brew each sample the same way — same ratio, same method — so you're comparing the coffee, not the brew. As you go through each one, ask yourself: What do I notice? Would I drink this again?
☕ Breakfast Blend
Roast: Medium
What to notice: Hazelnut, chocolate, brown sugar — smooth and easy, built for everyday drinking. Good starting point if you're not sure where to begin.
☕ 6-Bean
Roast: Medium-Dark
What to notice: A multi-origin blend, so expect more complexity in one cup — layered, bold, not just "one note." Good if Breakfast Blend felt too simple.
☕ Cowboy
Roast: Dark
What to notice: Full body, dark and bold — the cup for someone who wants their coffee to taste like coffee. Holds up well with milk or cream.
☕ Mexico
Roast: Light-Medium
What to notice: Clean and bright, well-balanced — if Breakfast Blend was too heavy or Cowboy too intense, this sits in between.
☕ Peru
Roast: Medium
What to notice: Caramel and walnut sweetness, smooth finish — a gentler, nuttier take on balanced coffee.
☕ Bali Blue
Roast: Dark
What to notice: Baker's chocolate, orange peel, juniper — the most distinctive and unusual cup in the flight. Good last pour, since it's the hardest to compare to anything else.
What You're Drinking
Our Single Origin Sample Pack is the easiest way to figure out what you actually like before committing to a full bag — multiple coffees, side by side, each with its own origin and flavor notes.
You'll Probably Like This If…
you're not sure what you like yet, or you want to compare roasts and origins before buying a full-size bag.
Try Brewing It
Brew each sample the same way (drip or pour over) so you're comparing the coffee, not the method.
Frequently Asked Questions
The right grind depends on how you brew your coffee. Here's a quick guide:
- Whole Bean — Grind fresh at home for maximum flavor and aroma. Best if you have a burr grinder.
- Drip / Auto-Drip — Medium grind. Works for standard drip coffee makers and pour-over methods.
- French Press / Cold Brew — Coarse grind. Larger particles prevent over-extraction in long-steep methods.
- Espresso — Fine grind. Needed for espresso machines and Moka pots where water passes through under pressure.
If you're unsure, Drip is the most versatile starting point and works well for most home setups. Not sure what you have? Feel free to reach out — we're happy to help you pick.
Because every bag is roasted and packed the same day it ships, you're starting with coffee at its absolute peak. To keep it that way:
- Store in the original bag — our bags have a one-way degassing valve and resealable zipper to lock in freshness.
- Keep it away from heat, light, and moisture — a pantry or cabinet is ideal. Avoid the fridge or freezer; repeated temperature changes cause condensation and stale faster.
- Use within 2–4 weeks of opening — whole beans stay fresh longer than pre-ground. For best flavor, grind just before brewing.
- For tea: store in a cool, dry place away from strong odors. Tea absorbs smells easily, so keep it sealed between uses.
Our same-day roast-and-ship model means your coffee arrives fresher than anything sitting on a store shelf — store it right and you'll taste the difference in every cup.
