Frequently Asked Questions
The right grind depends on how you brew your coffee. Here's a quick guide:
- Whole Bean — Grind fresh at home for maximum flavor and aroma. Best if you have a burr grinder.
- Drip / Auto-Drip — Medium grind. Works for standard drip coffee makers and pour-over methods.
- French Press / Cold Brew — Coarse grind. Larger particles prevent over-extraction in long-steep methods.
- Espresso — Fine grind. Needed for espresso machines and Moka pots where water passes through under pressure.
If you're unsure, Drip is the most versatile starting point and works well for most home setups. Not sure what you have? Feel free to reach out — we're happy to help you pick.
Because every bag is roasted and packed the same day it ships, you're starting with coffee at its absolute peak. To keep it that way:
- Store in the original bag — our bags have a one-way degassing valve and resealable zipper to lock in freshness.
- Keep it away from heat, light, and moisture — a pantry or cabinet is ideal. Avoid the fridge or freezer; repeated temperature changes cause condensation and stale faster.
- Use within 2–4 weeks of opening — whole beans stay fresh longer than pre-ground. For best flavor, grind just before brewing.
- For tea: store in a cool, dry place away from strong odors. Tea absorbs smells easily, so keep it sealed between uses.
Our same-day roast-and-ship model means your coffee arrives fresher than anything sitting on a store shelf — store it right and you'll taste the difference in every cup.
